LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

  • The license applies to bookmakers, betting brokers, gaming operators, slot machines, lottery and pool operators with casino or sports betting software or services (including poker, blackjack, baccarat and other games of chance).

  • Completely remote procedure for obtaining a license

  • License covers all markets except UK, USA, Ontario, New Brunswick and FATF

  • Zero taxation on gambling

  • There is a requirement for an MLRO officer (but no residency requirements)

  • No requirements for directors/shareholders of the company

  • No requirements for a local office.

  • Tobique has no server requirements, you can even use a cloud server.

  • The licensee can be a company registered in any jurisdiction; however, we recommend a paying agent company (Cyprus) in order to ensure smooth interaction between the licensee and PSP and banks.

  • There are no requirements for the company’s minimum authorized capital.

  • Five (5) domains are included with a basic payment for one license application.

  • Website: The online platform must be fully functional by the time the licensing process is completed.

DUE DILIGENCE DOCUMENTS
NEEDED FOR THE LICENSE

The following outlines the due diligence documentation required to onboard a client. Additional documentation may be requested at a later stage as part of enhanced due diligence. All individuals are required to successfully complete the remote identity verification process.

• Certified true copy of passport

• Certified true copies of proof of residential address (issued within the last 3 months). The proof of residential address could be water, electricity, landline telephone, or TV Cable bills, alternatively a bank statement or an official government correspondence is also acceptable. Mobile phone or mobile internet bills are not accepted. The proof of residential address document must contain the full name of the shareholder together with full residential address and must be dated within the last 90 days

• Bank letter of reference (issued within the last 3 months) of a character nature from a bank of which the shareholder has been a customer for at least 2 years – samples available on request

• Professional letter of reference (issued within the last 3 months) of a character nature from a lawyer or accountant of which the shareholder has been a client for at least 2 years – samples available on request

• Updated Curriculum Vitae (RESUME) duly signed

• Complete Remote ID Verification (to be discussed separately)

• Completed and signed source of funds declaration- this is an internal document which we collect for our due diligence purposes.

• Certified true copy of certificate of registration

• Certified true copy of memorandum and articles of association or any other equivalent document

• Certified true copy of the register of shareholders dated within the last 3 months and signed by the director of the company

• Certified true copy of the register of directors dated within the last 3 months and signed by the director of the company

• Certified true copy of company extract from the registry (if applicable)

• Certified true copy of Certificate of Good Standing

• Certified true copy of Certificate of Incumbency

All documents must be dated no older than 90 days. All documents must be in English or accompanied by a certified English translation. The Certification Guidance can be provided upon request.
